Raise a Child of the Carolinas and The NASCAR Foundation Join Forces for the 2024 Speediatrics Festival to Promote Health Lifestyles Among Charlotte Children

Charlotte, NC – Raise a Child of the Carolinas (RACC) is excited to announce its partnership with  The NASCAR Foundation for the 2024 Foundation’s Speediatrics Fun Day Festival powered by Kaulig Racing, an  event dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles for children. Scheduled for Wednesday, October 16th at the  NASCAR Research & Development Center in Concord, NC, the festival will bring together elementary-aged students and local volunteers to celebrate fitness, wellness, and community spirit.

The Speediatrics Festival, a cornerstone initiative of The NASCAR Foundation, encourages children in physical  activity while educating them on the importance of healthy lifestyle choices. This year, Raise a Child of the  Carolinas will collaborate with The NASCAR Foundation to host interactive, fun-filled activities for students in  grades 3-5 from Mecklenburg County schools, many of whom participate in RACC’s after-school programs.

"Partnering on the Speediatrics Fun Day Festival Program allows us to expand our impact and inspire kids to live  healthier lives through interactive experiences. It also gives minority students exposure to a sport that may seem  out of reach," said Shaguana Hunt, Chief Executive Officer of Raise a Child of the Carolinas. "This event is not only  just about fun but also about building confidence and teaching kids the value of wellness, teamwork, and  perseverance, while also introducing them to new endeavors."

The festival will feature various activities, including fitness challenges, educational workshops, that will encourage  the children to embrace healthy habits both on and off the track. Participants will also explore health and wellness  stations to inspire them to make lifestyle choices.

“We are thrilled to bring the Speediatrics Fun Day Festival Program to youth in the Charlotte community,” said  Nichole Krieger, Vice President and Executive Director of The NASCAR Foundation. “It’s always great to see how  the students embrace the program and put healthy living habits into practice when they come out to participate in  our NASCAR-themed activities.”

Raise a Child of the Carolinas and The NASCAR Foundation are committed to empowering children through health  and wellness initiatives, and the 2024 Speediatrics Festival promises to be a day filled with fun, learning, and  inspiration for all involved.
